QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What is the polarity of the DC power in barrel plug ? [ o +ve ]-ve. ? Is the inside pin positive or negative.

Our DC barrel plugs are center positive.  The center (tip) of the output plug is positive (+) and the barrel of the output plug is negative (-).

  • Just to clarify... The 24 volt Passive PoE source powers this device? No external Power supply is required? If so, why would you need the 2.1mm x 5.5mm DC female power input for 12 volts to 30 volts?

The Male RJ45should be plugged into a PoE port on your Power Sourcing Equipment which has an output of 24 volts. The WT-GPOE-48V10W will then step up the voltage to 48 volts, and you can run your CAt6e- cable from the Female RJ45 port out to your 802.3af device. The 2.1 x 5.5mm barrel is there if you wanted to power it directly using a 10-30volt power supply, using the WT-GPOE-48V10W to function as the splitter and the step up converter.
