QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Will this product power a nest cam? I understand data will still be WiFi. What is the distance you can use these from the device?

Yes, the POE-USBC can power a Nest IQ when used with a 24V passive POE injector. Our USB-C cable lenght options max out at 3 meters.

  • Greetings: Will this device work with a Ubiquiti 24V Passive POE Input (Pins 4, 5+; 7, 8-), to pass through the data and supply power via the USB-C? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for your question. Yes, the POE-USBC accepts an input PoE voltage of 24-40V. Power and data output are separated. Power output is on the female USB-C connection, while data output is provided on the female RJ45. Also note that your input wattage will factor into the maximum power output from this splitter.

In the POE-USBC-Kit, we kit this splitter with a 32V48W power supply. Please feel free to call our technical support team with any further questions 512-479-0317. Thank you!
