  • Can this PoE switch be used to support 48 v cameras and two 24 v UBNT antennas?

This is an unmanaged passive switch. Therefore, if you have a 48 volt power supply, 48 volts will be passed through to your devices. As a solution, we offer 802.3af to 24 volt step down converters which would support your UBNT devices. This product is listed under part number WT-GAF-24v15w.

  • Could this PoE switch be used with a 2:1 ethernet splitter to combine 2 switch ports (2-pair mode A + 2-pair mode A) on a single CAT5E cable and then split back out with a 2:1 to connect 2 PoE security cameras? i'm not clear if the PoE function Mode A needs to have access to pins 4/5/7/8. Maybe it would work better with one of your injectors? Thanks

Mode A on this switch is pins 1,2,3,6. It can work in the description above, as this switch can take PoE in the uplink port and split to 2 ports. You will just want to make sure you have enough power coming from your main switch to power the two end devices. IF you do not need gigabit data, you could consider our WT-MMF-RJ45 (only supports 10/100 mbps) which does this same application, combines 2 PoE ports from your switch on Mode A only, and then powers 2 cameras remotely off 1 cable run. Please let us know if you have any questions.

  • Can this switch accept dual voltage simultaneously? As in a 48 volt PS through the DC input and 24 volt through the uplink port...then control the output voltage through the Mode A/B switches?

No, this switch is not designed to accept dual voltage input. If you need to mix devices that require different voltages we recommend in-line converters. For example, the GPOE-48v10w will convert 24V passive into 48V POE, or the GAT-24v25w which will convert 802.3at POE into 24v passive.
