Online Product Manual

Active PoE means the right power at the right time. An active PoE injector negotiates with the powered device to deliver the voltage needed, so there are no concerns about accidentally burning out lower powered or non-PoE devices. Power is only added to the data cable when an 802.3af or 802.3at device is connected.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • What is the max distance this power injector can provide POE?

PoE can go 100 meters (328 feet). If you need to go further than this, you might consider one of our extender options.

    • What power supplies do you offer for this that work well in a rack?

The AT-24 is compatible with any of our 48 or 56 volt power supplies. Please see the PS-48v120w or PS-56v120w. We also offer this injector as a kit with 2 x power supplies included: AT-24-56v240w.

    • We are looking for MIDPAN 8 or 16 ports to power IP camera same model WV-S8574L of iPRO PoE+ (IEEE802.3at compliant): DC 54 V: 470 mA/Approx. 25.4 W (Class 4 device)

Thank you for reaching out to us today. Our AT-16-48V700W is an 802.3at compliant injector kit that has enough power for 16x 25.5W devices.

    • I have 24 devices that need 15.4 watts with a voltage between 40 and 56 VDC. Each device will be on about 250 feet of cat 5e cable. Will this power my 24 devices?

This can power 24 devices, however it sounds like you will need a power budget of at least 400 watts for this. We have a 480 watt that can be direct wired to this injector.

There is also the kit GBT-24-M-53v3000w that can handle this wattage also

    • Is this AT-24 in any way a digital device of its own? is there any firmware or digital circuitry inside of it? Or is it just a pass through on the wires while adding power based on passive circuitry?

Our AT-24 is a plug and play device, so it does not require any firmware or anything like that. It is designed to be an active PoE device in the sense that it will only send power if it get a "handshake" from the connected device confirming it can receive the power, so it will protect non-PoE equipment if it gets connected.
