  • 48V at 270ma is indeed 12.9 watts (input). However you need to output at 5V you must output higher current 2,500mA is minimum recommended by R-Pi. Yes?

    When using the GAF-PiHAT to power the R-Pi with PoE (48v), this allows for an output of 5 volts at 12 watts.

  • How does 270mA fit with 5V and 12.9W specified elsewhere? I guess a Pi does not work with only 270mA.

    Using our GAF-PiHAT to power the R-Pi with PoE (48V), the max current of 2500mA allows for an output of 5 volts at 12 watts.
