QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can the network activity LEDs be disabled? I would like to use this to power an Axis M10 camera would like to disable the lights as they would be blinking at the top of the wall near the ceiling.

The lights cannot be disabled as the board design has them wired into the battery on the board. You could get creative by covering them with white tape.

  • Can I power this with a 10/100 PoE midspan injector?

Yes, you can power this with any of our WS-POE- . . . (10/100) injectors as long as you do the Mode B conversion on it.  Here's the blog on how to do it:

  • Will this work for a Google Wifi with USB to USB C cable?

The WT-GAF-USB2 will work for the Google Wifi. The max power consumption of Google's WiFi is 9watts, well within the 5 volt 10 watt power limits of the WT-GAF-USB2

  • Will the data port supply power to a POE device?

The data port only supplies Gigabit data 10/100/1000 and does not apply power to the port.

We have a solution for that if you need to pass on POE.  You can use our WT-MMF-RJ-45 to send power and data to two devices over one ethernet cable.

  • I have an iPad 2nd gen wall mounted, my charging point is not working. The charging port is connected to POE port. Will this product solve my issue?

Yes this will work to charge Ipad or Android devices. This is an internal wall mount poe injector. You will need to use your apple charging cable with this injector.

  • Will this work for two google mini? 2 amps both ports in the same time?

No, this will only provide power to 1 devices at a time. If you'd like to contact our technical support we'd be happy to learn more about your project, and see if we have a better product for your application. 512-479-0317.

  • Can the USB power ports run a Raspberry Pi?

The USB port is compatible for 5V10W. If you're looking for an option to power a Raspberry PI using POE, we recommend looking at our GAF-PIHAT or our GAT-PIHAT or POE-PIHAT.
