  • If this device is passive, what limits it to 10/100 Ethernet? Are only 4 wires used?

    Yes, only 4 wires are used for data. Our 10/100 injectors are designed to send data on pins 1,2,3,6 while sending power on pins 4,5,7,8 (Mode B). The gigabit injectors we offer will send data on all four pairs.
